Chattanooga Sings for Hope

A benefit concert will be held at the ICCM Theater on August 8, 2015 from 5:00p.m. - 7:00 p.m. honoring the military Servicemen killed during the recent Chattanooga shootings.   

Youth Choir Summer Tour

Sonpower has been a "powerful" experience for our youth choirs; they are rehearsing praise and worship music, making a CD, and studying God's word, along with about 1,000 youth in Orlando. 

Food For Thought

Come join us in Food For Thought for  a new study, Set Apart: Holy Habits of Prophets and Kings By Jessica LaGrone.  We will begin August 12th. 


Habitat for Humanity Build

CUMC has partnered with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity and at this time needs help with multiple projects going on around our community.

Summer Feeding Volunteers Needed

This is a Great Summer Mission/Service Hour Opportunity for Teens (16+), Adults, Groups, or Families!
Do your part to reduce childhood hunger during the summer months!  The YMCA is looking for volunteers this summer, beginning now through August 14th.

Care & Share Ministry


When life takes an unexpected turn, a meal from a friend is very encouraging.  Through a team of wonderful volunteers, our Care & Share Ministry provides meals to families and individuals in times of need…illness or hospitalization…loss of a loved one…during times of crisis. 

Young Adults Group

Christ United Methodist Church is very blessed to have an active and energetic College and Young Adults Ministry. This ministry is geared towards 18-35 year olds.

Ladies Supper Club

The Ladies Supper Club will be meeting Tuesday, August 4th at 6:00 p.m. at Red Lobster at Hamilton Place.

Room In The Inn Volunteers

Room In The Inn is a local shelter for women and their children who are in need of short-term food and lodging.  Christ Church provides the evening meal 2 times a month. 

Calling Hospitality Servants

Openings are available in the donut cutting and coffee ministries.  Donut ministry involves cutting and setting out donuts for two services; requires 1-2 hours about once per quarter.  

Baked Blessings

Baked Blessings, a ministry of Christ Church, is an opportunity for individuals or families to bake cookies or brownies for people who are homeless.

Daily Bible reading is an essential part of our spiritual lives. However, it is sometimes difficult to find good devotional materials to read. The leaders of Christ Church want to encourage and support you in this important discipline.

The East Brainerd Community Theater will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved musical, Oklahoma!, on August 13-16, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road. 

Family Whitewater Rafting Trip

The Men's Ministry team invites you to join us for a rafting trip down the Nantahala River in Bryson City, NC on August 8th.

Join this lively group of women of all ages led by Dr. Cathy Robbs Baker on Wednesday mornings this summer beginning June 10 from 10:00–11:30 a.m., Youth Center, for How to Live a More Fulfilled Life.

Partnership Meals

In 2012, two teams began providing a monthly meal to the residents of Partnership’s Family Violence Crisis Center.  The Center accepts families in crisis at any time help is needed. 

Tai Chi for Arthritis

Kim Davis, a certified teacher for TCA, will lead this class on Thursday evenings beginning September 11, 6:00-7:00, in the Trinity-Woodmore Chapel.

Inviting others to worship and other activities at Christ Church is easy, but it is also a very, very important thing for all of us to do.

Is a ministry for those in our community with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. 

Building Fund Update

We have created a blog to help keep everyone up to date on the progress of Grace Home, the orphanage being built in the South Sudan.
