Soup for the Soul
Are you searching for something more? Tired of running in circles, but not really living life with direction, purpose or passion? Or perhaps you just want more in your relationship with God. It's pretty easy to get caught up in the drama of relationships, family, and school or work. Our lives are filled with distractions that take us away from living a life with Christ. We try to fill the emptiness inside us with mindless TV, meaningless chatter, stimulants, too many activities or other irrelevant stuff. We sometimes are living in brokenness and hurt.
Lent is a great time to return to God and re-focus our lives to be more in line with Jesus.
This year Women’s Ministry’s Soup for Your Soul will focus on Lent with an emphasis on our 2019 verse “Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.” (John 17:17)
We’ll launch our 2019 Lenten Study “From Brokenness to Wholeness” as we begin the process of reflection and self-examination of our spiritual health. We’ll learn some spiritual exercises and get wellness prescriptions from the Great Physician. And… we’ll leave with a copy of our 40-day Lenten study and information about viewing the weekly Lenten video.
Women, please join us in the multipurpose room March 5, 6:00-8:00 p.m., for Soup for Your Soul. After a dinner of homemade soup and desserts, Dr. Cathy Baker and Lisa D’Andrea will lead us in a creative, engaging, and meaningful presentation that will help us become Women in the Word.
We anticipate a “sold out” event, so sign-up today at the Info Desk. $5.00 per person and free childcare (please register for childcare below)!
