Lights That Lead To The Manger

The Light of A Star -  12/31/2017 - Ben Matherly

The story of the star guiding the wise men. God still guides people everywhere to know Christ. We are invited to be part of that mission.

The Light That Never Goes Out -  12/24/2017 Eve - Nathan Malone

We will acknowledge that there are forces in this world that are always trying to put out the light that is peace, hope, joy and love (as I extinguish each of those candles on the Advent Wreath). So, because of the Light that is Jesus Christ, we can always experience peace, hope, joy and love. We are invited to receive that Light that is Christ and then share it with others. (As we share the light around the room.)

The Light of Love -  12/24/2017 - Nathan Malone

The child that was born in Bethlehem was given to our world because of God’s love.

The Light of Joy -  12/17/2017 - Nathan Malone

A young virgin and an old woman share the joy of what most people thought impossible: they are both going to have a baby! God can and does still break through what looks impossible in our lives and gives us reasons to rejoice.

Choirs & Orchestra Sunday -  12/10/2017 - Nathan Malone

Our CUMC choirs and orchestra members from the community will come together to present our Christmas musical offering, "Noel & Alleluia! Jesus Is Born." This will be a multi-media musical experience with narration, video, music from our children, youth, and adults. Come and experience the wonder of Christmas through a beautiful blend of the familiar hymns and carols of the season, as well as a little of the new, as we tell the amazing Christmas story of Christ's love for you and me as He came to be one of us.

The Light of Peace -  12/3/2017 - Nathan Malone

One of the names given to the Messiah from the prophets is “Prince of Peace.” When Jesus was among us, he blessed “the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” We will explore various aspects of peace.
