The Gracious Giving Market

Do you ever feel like Christmas is about more than giving family and friends a new sweater or toy? Christ Church is hosting our annual Gracious Giving Market VIRTUALLY this year.  During this holiday season, we must step back and ask, what would Jesus want us to give for His birthday? We ask that you prayerfully consider increasing your giving to others in response to Christ's ultimate gift of salvation to us.  If you have any questions please contact our Director of Missions, Lindsey Gallaher at .

Below you will find the many ways that you and your family may participate in giving:

Christ Church Angel Trees - Our Angel Tree gifts will be given to children served by The Samaritan Center and to senior citizens that do not have family or much income and are served by The Elder Services Department.  Click here for more information or to pick an angel.

Sponsor a Christmas Meal for an Auburn Hills Family - Auburn Hills was the mobile Home Park that was devastated by the April tornadoes.  Many families are still struggling to rebuild their lives.  Please consider donating a $25 gift card to Walmart.  Gift Cards can be dropped off at the Information Desks on Sunday Mornings, at the Church Office M-F 9:00am-2:00pm, or during our Angel Tree drop off times (Click here for dropoff times).

Christ Church Partner Organizations - We are proud to partner with organizations that show the love of God every day in the work that they do. Below you will find a short description of each of our mission partners and a link to each of their websites. Please consider making a donation to one or more of these partners as a gift or in memory of someone this Christmas!  You can donate online directly to the prospective organizations by visiting their websites listed below.  Or you may write a check to Christ Church and write the name of the organization in the memo line.

Participating Partner Organizations:

Camp Lookout - - Is one of five camps owned and operated by the Holston Conference and is located on top of Lookout Mountain. This beautiful place holds summer camp for hundreds of children and is a religious retreat center during the other months of the year. “A Place Set Apart,” Camp Lookout provides quality programs and facilities that enable each of God’s children (of all ages) to experience Christ’s love through God’s creation.

Chattanooga Sports Ministries - Impacting urban youth in Chattanooga at the intersection of faith and athletic engagement. They envision Chattanooga’s inner city transformed by providing safe, supportive, and healthy environments for our children, where every child has access to nutritious food, safe activities, an active and intentional support system, and are fully prepared to enter into adulthood.

Grace Home - Several years ago we provided funds for the GRACE Home orphanage to be built in South Sudan.  Today with South Sudan in the midst of another civil war, our children and workers had to flee to a refugee camp in Uganda.  We are still supporting the children with educational fees, food, and other care as best we can with the tough conditions they are experiencing.  Click here to donate to the South Sudan Orphans through our Church Online giving progam. Habitat for Humanity -  Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area, Inc. is an ecumenical Christian non-profit housing organization working in partnership with God’s people in need to build simple, decent, and affordable homes. Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. 


Henderson Settlement - Their mission, as part of the body of Christ, is to lift up Jesus Christ by providing basic needs in Appalachia through God's love. This mission works in several different venues including a community center for adult education and tutoring services, home improvement, a senior citizen center with transportation service for improved healthcare and a day care center for working mothers. 

Launch - Empowering underserved communities and individuals through entrepreneurship. A community that builds hope and equity to all individuals through entrepreneurship.

Methodist Children’s Home of Costa Rica - The Methodist Children's Home is a Christ-centered, family-oriented ministry to children who have been declared, or are in the process of being declared, legally abandoned by the child welfare agency in Costa Rica. Mustard Tree Ministries Dedicated to eradicating homelessness and poverty one life, one community at a time. by empowering individuals to create a better life through community in the presence of Christ through sustainable farming and community based programs and services. 

Prison Prevention Ministries - Preventing inmates from returning to prison. Preventing youth from going to prison. With staff and programs, inmates and at-risk youth discover the possibility of a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Gospel. 

Project 541 - Project 541 is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting and empowering children of La Moskitia, Honduras. Our goal is to give children the skills needed to create a sustainable future for their family and their community.
Project Crossroads - - In the heart of the Appalachians,it is a mission of The United Methodist Church in Southwest Virginia, serving the needs of God’s children through home repair, new home construction, firewood delivery, emergency assistance, medical care and an opportunity for faithful witness of Christ’s presence through love in action.

The Bethlehem Center - We are God’s people empowering inner-city youth and families to lead responsible lives by providing discipleship, education and leadership development. This is accomplished through after school tutoring, community empowerment programs, community gardening, food assistance, and health awareness.
The Partnership for Families, Children, & Adults - To improve the lives of our neighbors through a continuum of emergency, stability, and self-sufficiency services so that we have a strong, safe and informed community. The Partnership provides over 20 different programs for citizens of the greater Chattanooga area. 
The Samaritan Center - Their mission is to meet the basic physical, spiritual and social needs of people in our area, using the ministry of Jesus Christ as a model.
Trinity Hope -  - Trinity HOPE is a ministry that feeds thousands of hungry children, teachers and cooks each day in Christian schools spread throughout Haiti. Each meal consists of rice or corn and beans. The cost per meal is around $0.25. The meals are sourced from local markets, providing further economic help. Over 300 Haitian jobs are provided which  positively impacts the local communities in which we serve.
Volunteers in Medicine -  Is a full service FREE medical clinic. They provide primary and preventative health care to financially eligible individuals and families of Hamilton and surrounding counties in Tennessee and Georgia who otherwise have no access to public or private health insurance.

Widow’s Harvest - Their mission is to plead the case of, provide assistance to, and promote the spiritual growth and ministries of widows. Through its volunteers, they have repaired roofs, painted buildings, made wheelchair ramps, and completed other minor repair work for widows in the Chattanooga area.
