CHRIST CHURCH CARRYOUT
Become a Christ Church Carryout Ministry Team Member!
The Christ Church Carryout ministry delivers meals to some of our homebound members as well as those with a special need such as an illness, surgery, birth of a new baby or death in a family. Our prepared meal for Wednesday night programming is delivered each Wednesday night to the ministry recipients. Meals are picked up between 4:30 and 5:00 PM at the church and then delivered.
Volunteers are needed to help deliver the meals. It takes about an hour and volunteers are placed on a rotation. It is a great opportunity for adults, high school students and families. As some of the recipients are homebound, a delicious meal and short visit are the highlight of the week.
If you would like to help fulfill this important need and make someone that is shut-in very happy, please contact Mike Feely at missions@christchurchchatt.org.
CUMC MISSION GARDEN
Christ Church has a Community Garden on our campus that provides fresh produce for area organizations. Volunteers are needed to help weed, water, and harvest. Questions? Contact Mike Feely at missions@christchurchchatt.org.
FIXIT MINISTRY
Fix-It Ministry Lives Again! If you or someone you know needs some simple home repairs or maintenance work but cannot afford to hire someone to do it, this ministry can help. Adam Dane leads a team of men who can do simple electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, hang pictures, change door locks, and do similar tasks.
We are not here to compete with contractors, and the tasks we undertake must not require licensed workers or building permits.
Call the church office at 892-9363 to request our help!
GREETER MINISTRY
Volunteer Greeters are needed for both the 9:30 and 11:15 AM Services. If you have the gift of hospitality and enjoy people, please consider volunteering for at least 30 minutes per month on the CUMC Hospitality team by greeting our members and visitors to worship services. Contact the church office to sign-up to a greeter.
NEEDLE ARTS FOR SERVICE
Needle Arts for Service - Tuesdays 1:00 to 4:00 - Room A-3
This group of women share a passion for serving Christ by using their needlework talents to minister to others. It’s members gather weekly for a devotion and sharing time, then quilt, sew, knit, and crochet in fellowship. In service to God’s people within CUMC, the group makes quilts for display around the church during Advent and Easter and prayer shawls and prayer patches for CUMC ministries. To reach out to God’s people outside of the church, the group makes quilts, scarves, lap robes, washcloths, and other items for partnering organizations, including the Angel Tree senior baskets (that CUMC makes), nursing homes, hospice programs, and homeless individuals. Group members also produce items for their own use and for other organizations they support.
Contact Mike Feely at missions@christchurchchatt.org for additional information.
TLC (TENDER LOVING CARE) MINISTRY
Our Tender Loving Care Ministry makes sure that all members and friends of our church family are visited on a regular basis while they are shut-in or residing in nursing homes. We have many on our list that need a friendly visit or a loving phone call to let them know their church family has not forgotten them. If you are interested in learning more and joining this vital ministry, contact Mike Feely at missions@christchurchchatt.org.
If you know of a church member who lives in a nursing home, assisted living facility, or is confined to home/apartment who would enjoy an in-person visit or call by a TLC member, please pick up a Visitation Form at the information desk.
