"The Spirit of the Lord is on Me"
Luke 4:14-21
Often seen as his first sermon, Jesus teaches after reading this passge from the prophet Isaiah. Luke was intentional to include this scene. We will listen for what he wants us to know about Jesus.
“Repent And Believe The Good News”
What does it mean to repent? Is that just a one-time occurrence? And what is the “good news”? This sermon will answer those questions and more.
“At His Baptism & Temptations”
We will hear what Jesus said at his baptism and during his time of testing. We will be reminded that Jesus was willing to be identified with the sinners and rejected the world’s ideas of what it means to represent God.
“This Is What Pleases God”
The “minor prophets” have major messages to offer. Micah 6:6-8 is a good summary of all the prophets, giving us three basic ways of living that please God.
“The Handwriting on the Wall”
That phrase is often used by people who have no idea where it came from. Daniel 5:1-30 is the Bible story where it came from, and its lesson is still very relevant today.
“These Bones Can Live Again!”
God’s people thought they were dead as a people, but God assured them they would be restored. God still offers that message to those who think they have no future.
Pastor Nathan
Okay, welcome to the Christ Church website. It is my hope and prayer that you will find here what you are looking for, both on the website and among the people and activities of this church. We state our mission this way: “Learning to live the way of Jesus Christ and inviting all to follow him.” We say we’re learning because we know we do not have it all figured out yet; and we say we are inviting because we want everyone to know they are welcomed among us. That includes you! So, check out the website, come join us for a worship service or other activity and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. I would love to meet you at Christ Church!
